It's a terrible thing to have happen. Can you please measure the diameter of
these dops and let us know so others can be on the lookout for them?
Alpha is only the dealer, so it's not really "their" product..it's Raytech's.
Perhaps when people use aluminum dops that are very close in tolerance to the
quill bore they should use an antiseize lubricant on them. Aluminum is known

I reference to Clyde's problem. Drilling the aluminium out using a
smaller size of drill than the dop then using a strong solution of
caustic soda to eat away the remaining aluminim should work. Caustic
soda eats aluminium but has no effect on other metals. It will take some
time. Days rather than hours.
Hope this helps Danny

About the photos, the one entitled "Oops", please name that gent. I know
him and am drawing a complete blank with his name. Thanks,
The Video, yes once it it finalized, it will be for sale. I believe
Glenn Klein may be able to answer the questions of When, Where, and How
I used a Sharp 4 megapixel Digital Camera purchased at Fry's. The couple
of times I have used it, I have been very impressed with its clarity. I
am not a studied photographer at all, I have a lot to learn.

Hi Thurmond, I just want you to know what a wonderful group you have signed
up on your web-site. I wrote for help in Gem Photography. Wow. I received 7
e-mails and two excellent suggestions on web. Able to solve my lack of
knowledge, thanks to these fine people!

Subject: Some Andy Rooney Quotes for Funnies
Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2003 08:22:47 -0400
From: "J Wagstaff" <firstname.lastname@example.org>
Andy Rooney on Vegetarians: "Vegetarian" - that's an old Indian word
meaning 'lousy hunter'"
Andy Rooney On Prisoners: Did you know that it costs forty-thousand
dollars a year to house each prisoner? For forty-thousand bucks
apiece I'll take a few prisoners into my house. I live in Los Angeles. I
already have bars on the windows. I don't think we should give free room
and board to criminals. I think they should have to run twelve hours a
day on a treadmill and generate electricity. And if they don't want to
run, they can rest in the chair that's hooked up to the generator.
Andy Rooney On Fabric Softener: My wife uses fabric softener. I never
knew what that stuff was for. Then I noticed women coming up to me,
sniffing, then saying under their breath, "Married!" and walking away.
Fabric Softeners are how our wives mark their territory. We can take off
the ring, but it's hard to get that April fresh scent out of your
